Pretexter can then sell this information or use this for identity theft.

In typical cases, Pretexter uses already accessible information like pubic records or stolen records such as bank statements to build authority and uses a series of question to collect personal information. The technique is also used to collect consumer information from businesses such as banks and credit card companies.

Be careful when a stranger calls asking for personal information even if the call appear to be from legitimate source. These people are good at appearing to be legitimate.

I came across interview and book about Myths of Entrepreneurship. The book, written by Scott Shane, attempts to take opposite view on Entrepreneurship than we read and hear all the time. We have programmed our self to believe that Entrepreneurship is great and financially rewarding. Entrepreneurship is not financially rewarding says Scott Shane.

We read stories of hard working successful entrepreneurs. But most of the employers are probably better off as employees. These employers will be making more money, if they stayed as employees. One point Scott does agree that running a business is more satisfying than working as employee. But it would be wrong to believe that it will make an entrepreneur rich too.
