Is Google artificially increasing ranking for Knol?

After few days of launching Knol, Google is being criticized for artificially increasing ranking of Knol articles. I decided to take a look at Yahoo ranking for these keywords.

Problogger is not top resource for Blogging for Money - Cuil

Cuil, a New Search Engine, launched today claiming to be better and more comprehensive than Google. Cuil is taking a different and refreshing approach to search. Search results are displayed in columns with more summaries of search results (downside being fewer results per page). Related searches are shown in tabs.
